Looks like a blast! Car has cleaned up so damn well!

Not sure if iX rear calipers are the same but I have two pairs and one set is all yours if you want it. I know Brad had a setup for you as well.

Super jealous, love that you're having so much fun with the car.

Thanks guys, I miss all you crazy bastards. I hope to bring the car up north again one of these summers for the picnic, we'll see how it goes!

Today I fiddled around and tried to get some kind of stereo system going again and it sort of worked, but more importantly I put the roll bar back in and it should be getting dropped off after the holiday weekend to get welded in.

I actually had my light bar with me so I could take slightly better pics. Next time you see it it will be welded in!

The yellow crap everywhere is old adhesive. I will be cleaning that all up soon. Also going to get some dry ice to remove the sound deadening on the rear seat area. Overall its pretty dirty back there, but never matter since it was always covered. Now that its going to all be exposed I will clean it all up, though I still might make some sort of rear seat delete panels. For now, its moving forward with the rollbar welding, first and foremost

                Looking good!
Might just be the angle of the brake pad picture but... were the pads worn really unevenly? Like, really, really unevenly?

The part that contacted the rotor was worn nice and smooth, but there was a lip along the top that didnt contact the rotor and eventually the pads were contacting each other!

                          Thanks Brent!

So I picked up a spare set of front calipers a little while ago to rebuild. Bought a set of front and rear rebuild kits, going to redo a set of rear calipers eventually to rebuild also.

Heres what I started with. I plan to eventually rebuild the Ate calipers that are currently on the car.

Its quite the moment when the pistons pop out, here they are cleaned up.

A little struggling but eventually they are good to go. I was considering painting them, but my buddy had a wire brush attachment so I cleaned them right up. Im going to leave it as-is

                              paint them. they'll rust otherwise.

I actually sold them already :) Im going to rebuild the Ate's instead

Edit: here's some more pics of the welding.

It's all getting some paint soon. I need to figure out a good way to get that old adhesive off so it's nice and clean.

The welder wasn't too psyched about the whole job because obviously he would've welded the rear pillars to the shock towers rather than the wheel wells but overall I'm pretty happy with how it came out and I am one step closer to being tech ready
