Had to smoothen some edges from rods to make out more clearance to the block. found out that one of the connecting rods were cracked...

So I need to find another set now.. bought already another m20b25 set but it's different, newer mold.. Now I'm seraching for m54b30 rods, they are over 100grams lighter than these and I'm sure they can handle the power

A VW Golf (mk II 1,3 CL) has an even smaller booster. Bolts right up, the lever that attaches to pedal just needs to be shortened. Renault, BMW, VW, doesn't matter, they're all made by ATE.

S54 seems to be the right answer to just about anything around here. Nevermind the cost to get one and have it in really proper condition, weight, etc.
Juuso, keep it up! Following this with great interest.

making the mold for the intake ports

Fixed the valve spring test bench and took some measurements from stock springs.

Metric mechanic uses almost same stiffness but lighter package

Brake setup might be next on. Brake mechanism from bmw 540i, brake booster from suzuki swift and master cylinder from volvo 240.

Any particular reason you went with the swift booster and 240 master cylinder over OEM BMW?

                            Sub'd this is awesome.

Do you have any numbers on the pressure in the brake lines from the stock m20 booster vs the suzuki swift booster? I'd be interested to see if they put up comparable numbers in all 4 lines under braking. If so this could be an interesting option for swaps that people want to keep the booster and add a BBK but not lose stopping power

Sizing. Swift booster was the smallest one that I found from the graveyard.

And BMW master cylinder didnt fit into it and I tried volvo one and it was perfect!

I didnt want to move the ABS unit and this setup helped me through it.

Also the brakes will need a bit more footwork now while the booster got smaller and master cylinder went up from 20mm to 22mm. Curious to see how it works :P
