Right, sorry. As mentioned I am using M3 coupe quarter panels. Coupe skins are identical in terms of the box flares, so it amounts to a "partial quarter panel replacement" which is common on old hot rods that succumb to rust. There are many small details and I am oversimplifying of course, but that's pretty much what we're doing at a high level.

Visited the shop yesterday afternoon, I did not have time to snap any pics but they are making great progress. They have done a fabulous job of mating the panels and recreating the factory M3 inner wheel arches based on photos and measurements. When I was there they were just about ready to do the finish welds on the driver's side and had already mocked up the "rough" stage on the passenger side.
They are quite serious about making things look "factory". Even the parts that no one will ever see, like what goes on under the side skirts. This makes me very happy as I have seen some shoddy jobs in those areas from other replicas.

between this thread and Mr Wolfe's build the lack of pics is killing me lol.
on the plus side there's a photo bucket extension for firefox and chrome that works (at least for now).

We really need a PSA to tell people to stop removing their broken PB links and instead encourage installing the fix. If you remove the link, the extension is useless and so is the thread.
Edit: Here's something to hold ya over ;)
