How is that a "problem"? Anything that fits a 240sx will fit an e30 as far as frame clearance. The 240 swap pans are popular to use in our cars. If you prefer to keep a rear sump, Arc Asylum makes a sub frame to clear rear sump pans.
Because the s2000 front crossmember is in front of the engine, the oil pan is more of a mid sump.

Yes, I know. Again, you could follow a 240sx swap, or use a "rear sump" e30 subframe. I guess since there's no "bolt-in" swap kit, some people might be turned off? The s54 swap (or any other s5x rear sump) requires similar dealings, as does the LSx etc.

        Fucatypr, mind sharing your solution?

After getting the harness in, we tried to start the car a few times then......

Pulled the trans and got the pieces out. We got another starter and.....

Pulled th trans again and I drove a hour to get a used factory starter

          No more starter problems!!

Vorschlag weighed the m20+g260 at 497lbs. So this swap will save 40lbs. A lot less than I'd think, but it's something. The 240hp will be what's awesome though.

and the balance should be much better because of the distribution of the weight

I'm having a hard time posting youtube videos.

Got the harness in and got the car running but it runs like it's out of time and it has a bad misfire. The Haltech gave us a code for a bad crank position sensor, switch the sensor but we still have the same problem.

Looks like a problem in the wiring....

                      What's the problem?

If you want to embed them, it's pretty simple.

                      [youtube]***[/ youtube]

In place of *** you put the video ID, or whatever you'd call it, which in the youtube link would be the numbers and letters at the end after ' watch?v= '. Hope that makes sense.

And take out the space between the slash and youtube. Had to put that in to keep it from trying to post a video.

We've been at it for a few months now. I didn't want to start a thread until it was clear we would be able to get it up and running. I hate to into a build thread and the car never gets finished.
