*!Build of the year candidate!* Strange PNW Build: E30+Volvo
N52 clean up, whittling down, maintenance, painting and prep. Aluminum bolts are gonna take me a while to get used to. Feel like they could go from righty-tighty to righty-loosey real quick.
Fair enough, thanks for the explanation! Looking forward to following the swap and glad to see it getting finished! I thought you had planned on doing a Volvo 5cyl engine swap, didn't you already have the motor for that?
I was well on my way, but there was a lot of stuff still need to be "figured out" and someone offered me the right price for where I was at.

So you're keeping the car now? Or does sale prep include the N52 swap?
Still for sale. I figured the only thing that hadn't been done at this point was a swap. I'm not in any hurry to sell it, well, maybe I mean I don't “need” to sell it, so I might as well do the last bits. One of the things that held me back from swapping it before was thinking about the time it would be down. It's been sitting all winter and this particular swap sort of fell into my lap. So I pulled the trigger.
Did you get the Send-Cut-Send oil pan kit that hoveringuy designed?
He has the most proven oil pan in all of N52-dom. It's the pan I had for the last 2 years before I created my version 2.0 Send-Cut-Send "take and bake" pan.
Starting to amass the pieces to N52 swap the Amazon. If you've gotten here in my thread, you know that I'll likely spend a bunch of time making it look as good as it works.

Well, as usual, I just can't get away. Starting to amass the pieces to N52 swap the Amazon. If you've gotten here in my thread, you know that I'll likely spend a bunch of time making it look as good as it works.
In today's prep-for-sale news, the body shop was a bit pickier than me. They found more “issues” to fix. Looks like it'll be a mostly new paint job after this.
