The big day finally came, I headed out of work early today to go up to Imperial Collision and retrieve the E30 with my friends from PFL Services.

The drive back was nice and smooth with the airride flatbed.

Deposited safe and sound in my garage at home.

The rest of the evening was spent buttoning on small details, the big work will come this weekend with day light.

Front bumper cover installed on fiberglass carrier. New license plate screw caps installed.

    So fresh, so clean

Fuel door ready to mount, sticker from Pukar Designs. Yes I am reusing the rubber skirted spacer sleeves because they are $25ea and that is retarded even by my standards. New little travel limiter bumpers though.

    Hello foglamps

Headlamp screw clips installed, again.. so fresh so clean

Into the engine bay through the front nose panel

New clips for the hofmeister kink trim

New VIN tag on the trunk lid

This is where the difference in build quality begins to show. Never seen a car so clean.

Maybe some US thing, because euro cars don't have vin stiecker there.

Got up at 6:30am this morning and got right into work. Wrapping up now (at 11pm) and my ass is BEAT.

Brake ducts and oil cooler block off plate installed.

Measurements transcribed from the technical manual for emblem placement.

              Side moldings installed.

              Open all of the things

VIN tag on the door in the jam.

              Door brakes installed.

Vehicle wiring harness reinstalled in chassis, fusebox bolted down and adorned with new Pukar Designs labels. New fuse box cover again with a reproducting keep it OE label on it.

              ABS pump installed.

New firewall sound deadening, retardedly expensive for what it is.

Finishing up for the day with some of the Second Skin Damplifier Pro sound deadening installed, and the chassis harness more or less routed how it goes.

When do you think she will be 100% done? 6 weeks?

Considering this is his first day reinstalling and he got this much done then he could very well be finished by the end of the month. That is if he can keep up this pace on his days off.

I was including bringing it back to the body shop for perfect alignment of all the body panels and such as he did with his last build.

But hey i think your estimate is 100% possible, excited to how fast it goes.

Not only did you get a ton accomplished, but you also took the time to take photos and post updates here. What a great way to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee this morning!

Also, thanks for taking photos of the fog light mounting. Something I've been needing/meaning to address on mine.

Glad to see someone else painted the spoiler.
Next to wheel comments, the second question I get is "Why did you paint the spoiler?"

Also, I considered replacing the engine bay sound deadening, then saw the $450 price, and decided mine was fine, and it's buried deep in the bay once it's all together.

Coming along quickly man! The fuse box with all OEM fuses looks really nice.
                              I do things.

I love seeing updates on this car. This car was a victim of Harvey and I've seen the damage that the flood did to our city. To see life being brought back to this car is pretty awesome.
