reelizmpro: I will always be an e30 guy.. I still do all of my own labor TrentW: There's just something so right about a well-built M20 in an E30 e30m3s54turbo: I save my money for tuner parts.
Ended up going with Chase Bays front brake line setup for OEM master cylinder. I've bent front lines before and it can be a real pain with all the angles in such a small area, not to mention you have to make sure nothing is rubbing on the engine. I do have the e38 7 series master and a 944 booster but everything seems to fit as it should. Instead of running behind the engine the soft line attaches to the front subframe which is nice. I'll update this after i run some fluid through it and mess with the regulator.
Was also able to get the windshield lock strip in this weekend but i did have to call a professional in to do it. I've done this 3-4 times but i've always used the original gasket, lockstrip and glass. I'm note sure if i wasn't able to get it done because of the new gasket and lockstrip or because the aftermarket glass wasn't made correctly.
All the polished trim was wrapped satin black and new gaskets were installed. Nothing like fresh gaskets!
Only a minor update as i've been working on every car but this. Door cards are in and looking good, made some good progress on the custom hvac setup as well.
When you polished with cerium oxide, was it by hand or machine polisher?
If by machine, random orbital like from Griots? If yes setting 4?
THANK YOU
I used a 3" cotton wheel on a drill, you don't need a lot of speed and pressure to get results. I'm sure you can find some videos online about the process.
Slow progress since i decided to start/finish the 2002 quick. Now that i'm done with that i can put my focus back on the vert.
Interior has been installed and the radio/hvac layout is finished. I'm still messing around with painting or vinyl wrapping the panel but the pictures show it with some black vinyl i had laying around. Nothing is 100% secured in the pic so don't judge me lol.
