The engines are bullet proof outside of the perpetual squid ink oil leaks

but everything else, all the little things are always fucked on those older mercs and require serious gwap to button up

Really? I know theres random issues with door locks/ power windows etc but that black 87 seems to have it all sorted out as well as the suspension bushings too. Seems sorted. Plus I love that a "new" car that will never need a smog. EVER. Ugh Smog is the bane of my life lol

I have a list of E46 Wagons, and this motor seems to stand out from the others. SULEV? is this one of those random F-you California low emissions, power-sapping motors?

Ideally Id find a manual E46 wagon, but those seem to be non-existent and most out there have thrashed interiors... also Id like to stay away from leather ("leather"??) but BMW didnt have a cloth option in the US

Makes me want to look at a VW Golf/ GTI 4 door hatch instead... much easier to find cloth and manual... also opens up the TDI option...

From my knowledge the SULEV isnt really any less powerful, E46 wagons are really cool because there rare and have so many different options. Its hard to find a 3 pedal 325i when most are 323i auto or 325xi.

E90 sport package 328i 6 speed now that's rare and better imo than a E46.

Yeah, the pneumatic systems that actuate locks, HVAC and a lot of the engine components can be a nightmare.

Country mart C&C? My girl and I went a month ago and it was shut down. Apparently some supercars came the weekend before and cops got involved. The guy at the parking lot who stopped and told us sounded EXTREMLY pissed off over it.

I think there was some drama recently around it but I was there last Sunday. Lots of cars, no cops. Bruce Meyer stole the show with his 250 Testarossa... I had a nice chat with Jason Cammisa about his Touring, he was a bit bummed by the 1whp he gained with the Shrick 272 cam on his SuperETA motor
