        I think it's more so that I don't have a wife lol

But the parking lot helps, me keep the cars and stay single.

I'm going to be the equivalent of a single cat mom, but instead of cats.... cars purchased for 5k or less.

Disgusting, contributing to the economy just like those often cute but shy cat moms. At least you're probably killing the planet too, so it all balances out.

I'll do one better, a month ago my driveway was getting full, so I got some fill from a jobsite, did some prep and made a two space parking extension. Did that to make space to park my boat and one other vehicle. So, naturally I bought another boat and another vehicle to get right back to having no parking space. Whee.

I'm def doing my part and making up for people who aren't.

Two boats is crazy tho. Just add a 2001 750Li to the mix and soon you'll have no cars, boats or house.

WOAH WOAH WOAH. My time to shine here.

I'll make up for everyone who has cars but not cats.

I have 13 cats at the moment. Most cats at once was 19. Had a cumulative total of 28-31 in my life, depending on how you count kittens that didn't make it.

You're welcome, I'm here to balance everything out.

How do you end up with that many cats? I once had three, and that was about my max.

Totally assuming here, but since he said "depending on how you count kittens that didn't make it" he may live in an area where having outdoor cats is very helpful. My in-laws live out in the Utah desert in a commune in a valley, and routinely have 5-8 cats at any one time, as the cats keep the vermin in check that would otherwise destroy the shit they have. Kittens routinely don't make it unfortunately, and a cat is bested by coyotes or the like too often as well. So it's a sort of rotation of cats in that way.

Rodents are the exact reason I'd like to have a/multiple outdoor cats here... the problem is that I'd need to let them inside in the winter. Garage kitty has crossed my mind.

Pretty close guess; I live in a poor area where stray cats are easy to come by. This is a single-family residence with a yard in a suburban area. To answer a few questions...without going into a brief life story... I've always had cats, but only the first 2 were "officially" adopted back when I was a kid. Most have been rescued or donated/dumped on us. Before I moved to this area about 4 years ago, I topped out at 8, though not all at once.
Moving here, we (my mother and I) took in a pregnant cat, followed by another pregnant cat, and then the first one again got pregnant. And then another different one got pregnant.
Some cats have passed from old age, others from sickness, and some didn't make it past a few days or a few weeks. One unfortunately got lost and never returned.

All cats I consider mine are ones that we bring in every night. So yes, 13 cats inside a 1,100 sq ft. house each night. 4 litter boxes. Lots of cat food, and flea meds, and the occasional vet bills. Every cat has been special and magical and I love them all.
When I was a kid, we also had 1 dog. I don't discriminate lol.

jebus. I thought the rule was 1 litter box for every cat plus one after 2.
So you have 2 cats, you have 3 litter boxes, one for each, one neutral space.
You're at least 10 litter boxes short, and one bad day away from norovirus taking hold of all of the humans.
                              Kidding, sorta, be safe brother.

I don't mind cats, and I've met many I like, and the ones with jobs that serve a purpose I'm all for, but you're kinda describing my worst nightmare.
I learned that if I ever purchase rock/granite for landscaping it has to be of the 3/4 inch variety or larger.
Even half inch, the neighborhood cats think the entire front yard is their litter box.
All them cat momma's need to be fixed, it's sad hearing kitten screaming for their mom when it is 120 degrees and they are essentially being baked alive.
I've saved a few litters over the years and it just upsets me when people don't get their pets fixed, especially their outdoor cats.

You do hit a nerve about the cats needing to be fixed. In the one instance where the same cat got pregnant twice, this was due to a careless neglect of my mom who was going outside and the mamma cat slipped right passed her. I think it could have been avoidable; just watch what's behind you to see if a cat is following, and be careful. The reason she wasn't fixed at that point was because she was literally nursing the kittens she just had. Suffice to say, that was one horny cat and got knocked right back up.
The rest of the females we've encountered, we do take them in, but mind you it's not free, so we can't fix everyone. Strays, I mean.
Yes, they do poop in the yard, which lessens the load on the boxes inside. But yeah that just means cleaning the yard too. We don't have grass, so the yard is mostly dirt to begin with.

I would never recommend this life. I honestly feel like this life chose me and I'm just the unique type of person to let it happen.
I will go to a party and will seek out any animals and hang out with them instead of the people.
I've gone to complete strangers' houses, and I will make friends with the cat...and the owner will make it a point to state "wow, my cat doesn't like anyone, but he likes you".
My depression hits hard sometimes, and my cats fluctuate between the #1 & 2 reasons for deciding to keep going. That's really the most honest reason as to why I have them. Sorry if that made anyone uncomfortable.
