I want to buy some fun motors and stash em… current ones I really want are a VR6 (12v) and a SHO Yamaha V6… then I just need a 914 🤣

facebook informed me that 10 years ago yesterday, my M20 spontaneously disassembled on the way home from work.
Hard to believe it's been 10 years since then, or something like 14 years since I bought my e30Originally posted by priapismMy girl don't know shit, but she bakes a mean cupcake.Originally posted by shamesonUsually it's best not to know how much money you have into your e30Comment

Just looked back to see when it was that I bought my first E30, 2011... I think I will bump the thread after I fix the photobucket-linked pics...Simon

That is crazy. My FD brings me to 9 and I don't think we're too far apart in age.
You want the SHO engine and it's not the V8? If I'm hoarding some fun engines are no 6 cylinders on my mind and if there were they wouldn't be in a V. Mercedes M120 and M156, Mazda 20B, LS7...Comment

What a divide, would have expected more cars from both of you above. Over 30 here, but not by as much as I thought. Adding in other vehicles with titles pushes it to 50ish, which makes me shudder at the titling fees I've paid for that fun.Comment

I have had 2, can I have a cookie please
I guess 3 if I count the truck that I borrow from my mom when I need a truck.Comment

Shit, I'm only at 9, 12 if we count bikes. I think I look at a lot of cars and don't end up buying them.
Part of that is that I've kept my e30 forever, balanced against the 4 "Project" E30s/E28 that I seem to continuously buy/realize I don't have time for/sell/repeat.Originally posted by priapismMy girl don't know shit, but she bakes a mean cupcake.Originally posted by shamesonUsually it's best not to know how much money you have into your e30Comment

I've owned 12 cars that I used personally and not like bought with the intention of selling. 32 years old.
2man and toast are ahead by a long shot.

I'd say we're behind in actuality, probably a lot of wasted time and effort in all of those projects. Wrenching on someone's project used to be a regular Friday or Saturday thing, but for years it's been almost all solo, so it's clearly some character defect that I keep doing it at 36. Probably self loathing of some kind considering what I buy.Comment
