Schmiedmann has those MHWs and original style tails as well. I think someone started producing those MHW reps a while back along with startec(early) reps and all the other variants that garagistic et al. carry. You can find some of them on ebay now too.
I had never come across an interpretation of startecs for a late model and I guess I always wanted to see that. I never really cared for the MHWs for some reason.

I spent another 3 hours trying to extract the broken head bolt from my D2 today.
I think it's a lost cause, it's just corroded solid all the way down and I broke chunks off to the point where I can't really reach it with the MIG anymore.
Going to wait for spring, buy/swap a new engine, and try to make a drill jig to drill this out as a spare block.

I inquired about their plastic cluster covers. I was told that they have small cracks near the reset button.
I will wait for the next batch.
Really annoyed... I just ordered some parts for the Jetta and realized I should've just bought the hood strut for the E30 so I immediately got on the phone to FCP Euro... after waiting on hold for 12 minutes the guy on the phone says that its already in packing and they cant make any changes to the order...
