Found another issue, these strip a little too easily
Never ever recommending adapters to anyone. I mean sure they're safe, I haven't had any issues with them while driving but they're a royal fucking pain in the ass.
That seems like really shitty hardware, not military grade at all.
Travis; I've had issues with my "Adaptec/Motorsport Tech" adapters, I just never mentioned that I almost died on the frwy from them brreaking bolts. Because like you said they're supposed to be the safest/best.

well like i said earlier, both have had issues, but if i were to chose to go with adapters again, i would be staying with adaptec. they have far less problems than these 42dd ones.

I had problems with my adaptech adapters awhile ago too. My wheel came loose as well, but not as extreme as yours Edwin. Luckily, mine was on the street & I limped it home with a loose wheel.
I had shit happen to more than 1 of my adapters, and loosen or tightened bolts, it all ends up in the quality of the hardware.
I met someone with an old Porsche, they had really old adapters (6inches wide). Made of metal not aluminum, he has had them since the 80s without issues. Paid about the same amount of money, as what we paid for ours.
Moral of the story "adapters should be metal to be safe"
