Like stated before it really comes down to experience (or lack of). I can do basic stuff but taking on an engine swap is too much for me. I would LOVE LOVE a S50. I just think the labor will be too much on top of parts. The stroker allows me to get into heavier car stuff without being screwed by piecing together a swap. I am just assuming I can realistly get a stroker for cheaper then a S50 in my specific case. Parts are under 2k for stroker I want. If I can get the engine in/out on my own maybe 500 or so for block work + assembly.

With the S50 I first have to find a used s50 in unkown shape and all that extra crap on top of it, then modify wiring/brake booster/transmount, etc. Blah

To sum up. I want a S50 more, but I don't want to pay over 3k for everything.

You need a spin in my s52 car....you'll be up for a swap then....it is a pia though.

Hey guys, for you who go to junkyards often, please please Please keep an eye out for a Subaru SVX (bonus if 96+) with a complete (good, no holes in block) motor. I'm very close to pulling the trigger and doing that swap. If the motor is known to run/can be checked, I'd be super happy.

at work... so hey guys the people at the emissions test keep getting all this idiots to work there, I had my dad take my 318i yesterday and the brake lining lights its been on for 3 years so means last time I took it we didn'd have a problem with it and yesterday they didn't wana pass it, which I bet they morons don't even know what it is or where that leads to... fuck I was pissed so today after work I'm goin to bitch at them.... ofcourse after it passes:-)

No idea, but their website says you can pass with a showing check engine light (99% sure mine was showing on the e30). My horn was disconnected too.

But apparently you need brakes.
