A good portion of the people I work with are eastern euro but they all seem pretty trustworthy. They do have their "own" way of doing things though.. Commonly known as Hackjobs

Not sure what else you can do unless you have a bill of sale stating the condition of the transaction. Try small claims if those messages can be submitted as evidence. Though, he could just as easily claim bankruptcy down the road and nullify some of your work. Especially if he is the kind of person who is living paycheck to paycheck..

You still might be able to see if he is willing to offer something/anything of value in return that you can maybe sell to recover some of the cost.

I wouldn't doubt he bought it cheap knowing it was blown, only to flip it as "I saw it running before i pulled it" I passed on 5+ S5X's due to this. I wanted to pull myself or know the puller, in which case people usually backed out

I'm kinda in the same boat, I've loved the e46m since like 04 ish back when I was like 10 and they're really getting cheap. I'm gonna put that roof on my e30 And will need something to drive so I'm thinking I'll get this 36m and then in like a year sell that to get into a 46 once I'm making better money and have cleared school and stuff. I'd go right to a 46 but want a bit cheaper car for now... E36m seems like a decent compromise, and it's a vert, gotta have at least one vert in life!
