in the middle of my z3 rack swap. its from a 3.0 with low miles, same as the 1.9 according to bmw parts diagrams. Garagistic aluminum P/S delete plate installed and all power steering shit is gone out of the car now :)
I pressure washed the new rack and everything is taken apart now. I lifted the m42 by the oil pan with a floor jack to squeeze the rack out, and unbolted the 22mm banjo bolt off the rack, and the 19mm off the pump, making disassembly really quick and easy.
Im using the original z3 boots and tie rods because its all in great shape with not a single tear. Wish me luck! I cant wait for the test drive lol
