Does it run

It would need a battery, a seat and it runs rough from what the previous owner told the guy I am buying it from. Ill post pictures as I am only paying $1100 for the car minus antenna and seats.

I have to get it back to salem so I don't want to risk being stranded, but the guy said he also be able to compression test it for me as well.

Got 9/12 bolts for the intake off. As well as the throttle body

Lol my socket fell of the extension for the mani bolt closest to the firewall... took FOREVER to get it back with the magnetic tool... it was deep in the transmission tunnel crevice thing.

I am going to get the compression check tomorrow when I pick up the car & than I'll be in contact with you regarding maybe needing an M42 engine. Unless Lucky needs it as well :x

Very excited to get a hold of this car and figure out what is up with the engine. The guy said it started and I heard it when he hooked a battery up to it so now I am just looking at finding some local help to help me figure this out. Time to look for a Bentley manual.

Well I threw the car on the lift to try and get to it from the bottom, then realized that would be next to impossible. So now I am leaving in from the top, and it is still impossible lol. I need to start removing more hoses and wiring

Good luck on the purchase, and jut a heads up, the Bentley doesn't cover the M42. I found out the hard way lol

I'm using swivels, wobbles, etc. I got the lower bolt out (its easy) and all the wires off, just struggling with the top bolt

Anyways, tomorrow I hopefully will have the starter removed

EDIT: Lucky.. how did you get the bottom torx bolt to stay put so you cang et the other one off?
