        OK 24v guys school me. I got an s52, what is better obd1 or obd2? I'd like to stay obd2.

                Just stick with OBD2, You already have the parts, just get the DME reprogrammed and enjoy more capable diagnostics.

                      Y'all know where I stand. If you want simplicity, OBD1, if not, OBD2.

                        Why is an OBD1 more simple? Simple would be not changing anything since it's got OBD2 already.

                          Truthfully the only different part is sending the DME off to get coded versus installing a chip.

                          Everything else is simply plug in, and you still need to make an adapter.

                          Just have it coded to remove post cat 02's, SAI, Fuel tank valve, EWS (or keep it, easy to retrofit)
