 LOL..

 Well Played sir.

I kind of agree, the X1 is kind of like the in between vehicle that doesn't really check any boxes for most guys. It's trying to fill the spot the X3 used to occupy since it got as big as the old X5.

If you can find an E83 in really good shape you'll be happier. Low miles with those isn't really a huge selling point, mine has 140K and my buddy Ryan's has 210K.. They both are reliable as hell, and haul everything.

The biggest issue with them is the transfer case, but even that can be ignored for a while and is not a death kneel. The only other common issue is the door seals/vapor barrier (common BMW issue) and valve cover gasket leaking because they get old and hard.

There's a reason the first gen X3's are still selling for decent money in the used market - it was based on the E46 chassis and drivetrain which was pretty stout.

The X1 on the other hand is a mash up of 1/2 series and wishes. It's like BMW was trying to build a Subaru. Though, I know of a few older ladies who own them and love them. I guess they are a step from a CRV.1991 325i MT2 Touring (JDM bro)
