This looks like an old school 90's build. Back then many ETA owners including myself would spend money to spruce up our ETA's thinking we'd get significant power gains. That valve cover has the ICV mount found on 86-87 year model ETA's only. I'm not sure if they ALL had them or not but it's obviously not needed on any 325i.

Part number on the diff is 1 210 433. Google is generating TYP 188 medium case LSD. Is this good or bad? LOL
also the number on the engine block was 22553887 there was a 1278 HH stamp on it as well. The head had a 2.7 ETA stamp on it. I think this is just a regular eta motor that someone threw rare cosmetic parts at.1992 325i Convertible

they all spin the one direction if it's off the car. you have to hold one side while turning the other. you need the axles attached to provide enough resistance.
edit : spinning them off the car to check used to be an old scammers trick.
