Or someone spends all kinds of money on the actual engine,,, then drops it in a car that has the cheapest shit coil overs available and wheels that don't fit,,, and zero other actual "work" done to it.

What I mean is nicely done cars selling for $20k+ rather than 15-17k. Almost but not quite there yet. The M50/S50 family came in so many cars. People who never did a swap are now doing them for less than 5k. Solutions are well established for that swap. We need more companies to fab up solutions for the M54/S54 swap to bring the prices down. Having my 323i swapped to S52 is running about $5k.
