The Wrap looks real good in pictures. I am sure it's not revenant but the wrap Seem's like it true to the add lightness slogan.

Another …TWO MONTHS… flew by. I got sidetracked with that whole thing of getting rid of the Cosworth 190e 2.3-16. I needed this 80s car to be a fun driver while I work on the EFI Project, and it simply didnt want to so I sent it to Bring a Trailer, No-Reserve. I had an idea to share that experience and it went completely off-the-rails. Lots of me bitching to the camera, sorry, not sorry.

Anyways, back to this car. I have nearly all of the pieces I need to complete the project, but have some “major” things I need to do to get there. I'm nearly done with the E30 so once that's done, I will officially put the Lotus in its natural position (on jack stands) ((jk)) … but that will be the major motivator to get this finished ASAP. For now, a totally pointless update just to let you know its still here and I'm still here. A few pics for your troubles of clicking here.

Still very much love this car. Both of my ‘toys’ are FR setup and have forward hinged bonnets haha

Alright, motivation is growing and I finally committed to getting it done. Cars up on jackstands and things are happening…

Draining the radiator and coolant was ‘fun’ because both outlets were going to cause a mess. Ultimately I went with the mess from the radiator than trying to control the mess that would’ve came out from the block drain.

I think I want to still drain whatever is left in the block because this coolant was pretty nasty. Any tips on preventing it from spraying on the headers? Its a tight space

Heres the spring the builder used for the hood. Look like crazy overkill and is a nightmare at this point to try and remove by myself. I will get it off and I think I would love the ‘correct’ part

So now, just for fun I threw on the ITBs to give me motivation to get it done. They are just sitting on there because will need to come off several more times before I actually need to bolt it on.

So dedicated r3v - Lotus Elan post since someone got butthurt about copy/pastes...

I NEED HELP! When it comes to wiring from scratch I'm a bit clueless. I've tried to do a good job of identifying what goes where and setting up the harness. Im not crimping anything until I have it finalized. My plan has been to use a Ford Focus engine wiring harness to try and 'simplify' things and have existing connectors that would allow easily replaceable sensors. Some of this is not proving to be reality. The coilpack is a plug & play, but the injectors had different plugs and so far most of the sensors have also.

So I have 2 requests for the few of you you still here that have done Standalone conversions, or even those who can sleuth better than I can:
 (1) Trying to get my hands on the OEM Wiring Diagram to cross reference the way Ford had it routed. This is the only label I have to identify the harness

 (2) One headscratcher has been the way they have routed the injectors. 2 wires to each plug, a ground then a green/color wire that then gets routed & bridged to a single green which is part of a 4 wire plug.
