    its weighs more, but I'm using engine mount position 3 so its basically in the firewall. so balance will be decent still

            I can see people lining up for the complete M20 Turbo drop in package right now. Whomever lives local is going to get a sweet deal on an engine/turbo package with installation.

                                evidently the stock E30 speedo sensor doesnt work with a z3 cover.
                                I ordered the smaller sensor in hopes it will fit.

                                    You need to change the reluctor ring to an e36 unit, or chop it down a bit. The z3 cover is closer to axle center than the e30. This same thing happens when we have installed the Randy Forbes dual ear mount kit in the 318ti/z3's.

                                            Actually you are right, you must have used the z3 sensor, though. I was thinking the dual ear cover on an e30/ti/z3 diff which requires the reluctor ring change. Derp.

                                                    I have the stubby one on the way I believe it will work as I've run a z3 cover before, I ended up giving most of my spare diff sensors and covers to friends so now i'm left with a non-working speedometer.
