        I just want to get the 635 painted and keep it OEM fresh, it drives far too nice to mess with.

        To this day it has to be the smoothest car I've driven, it just glides down the road. Even our 740i isnt as smooth.

        volvo s60R is the daily, 635csi is just for fun cruising around town, E30 will always be crazy auto-x, canyon racer creature. E30 is the worst daily on the planet, sits too low, rides to harsh and corbeau seat blocks a lot of rear visibilty

                Lol, its a straight piped e30 on coil overs and solid mounts all around, a rattle doesnt bug me. Its a flywheel kicking around at my clutch pedal and wobbling off my crank thats annoying.

                Heck, my daily driver for years was a straight piped wrx with steel motor and trans mounts.

                Ill be fine.

                    90% of parts received, just waiting on my I.E. order still. For some reason the closest shop takes the longest lol.

                    prepping the block today, painting it tomorrow, assembling head tonight possibly.Then will pull the M30 out this Wednesday and get the M20 in this coming friday.

                    I've been skimping on pics lately, but motor is the same as my last M20 turbo setup.
                    HD rockers, Bimmerheads dual pattern cam, ARP studs, fresh goetze gasket.
                    oil pan is drilled and tapped for turbo drain;)

                    If all goes well I'll have an E30 that will spend more time on the road then in the garage torn apart.

                    what's the point of a 500hp E30 if you cant drive it?

                    Boost will be back but not until after this season of auto-x I need to enjoy my E30 for more than 1 week at a time.

                        from where you got the ARPs? Any issues with them? because i've heard a horror stories ..

                          I get them from Blunttech, zero issues with the new design, the very first sets were too long and caused issues the new sets are perfect.

                            Mine pulls hard right off idle through to redline - basically a big M20 on steroids.

                              my lightened oem 12lb flywheel causes a rattle on occasions (when fluids get very hot and everything is heatsoaked) at 900rpm idle, yet i know a guy with an alloy jb racing one that is quiet.
                              89 E30 325is Lachs Silber - currently M20B31, M20B33 in the works, stroked to the hilt...
