As far as the hunter thing, I posted a link about it in a past post or something. I mean, humans weren't huge, predators with claws or a means of attack until the development of tools, which wasn't a long period between tools and stagnant agriculture. Humans are believed to have been scavengers and, much the same as many primates today, quite fine at getting fruits and veggies to eat.

Like, it's not as if I'm refuting that eating meat in moderation is unhealthy, but you have to be worried about the quality of meat and what the cow was injected with and force-fed, than with GMO dangers. Meat farming is also a terribly destructive empire and sludge fest of pollution, extortion, and over-farming.

A fad that's been practiced for a few thousand years. Right.

It's such a fad that the majority of indians are vegetarian (something over 60% of the country).

I just love how the only people offering information, sources, or facts are the vegans or vegan supporters here....

I dont get my advice from India, they do some really stupid shit and have a horrific mortality rate. The fad of eating meat has also been around a long ass time and virtually every anthropologist/biologist/etc believes that the coversion from herbivore to omnivore is one of the the key factors leading to our increase in brain mass to body size ratio and the development of complex tools, language and social structures.

Hell, being omnivores might have been the one thing that really separated us from the apes. People quote opposable thumbs but there are primates with them (hell, even a rat and a few cats) and they dont drive E30s to work so obviously they did something wrong. Well, other than the large apes/gorillas, which have been known to have eaten meat (we should keep an eye on those fuckers).

You CAN replace meat and still create a complete protien chain. Insects are one option (every ape of every kind, even if they dont eat meat, eat insects) and a few rarer combinations of plant matter. However, its a greater challenge to get those protiens than it is to club a baby seal and eat its flesh.

I read through this, and it seems to be based on the RDA requirements. That's the problem. Most nutritionists perscribe a basic 40/30/30 macro nutrient split. The difficulty I see with the vegan diet isn't getting protein, it's getting it on it's own without more carbs and fats to achieve a decent ratio.

Here's the truth: Ancient ment were 169cm on average, middle ages was 175cm, and 1700's (which isn't the middle ages I have no idea where you're getting this from) were 167cm due to famine, poor growing conditions, and plagues.

I went back and read through your posts because I didn't know if I missed anything and wanted to apologize if I did. A few of the comments had wording similar to "I think..." in them, referring to a personal thought or belief, and none of them offered sources. You offered information in two of them (body building and height) and one was wrong (height).

I eat meat two to three times a day. Helps me maintain my 65/30/5 fat/protein/carb macros. I love this diet since I get to always eat high fiber vegs, which are my absolute favorite.

Wow, is that right? I never knew anyone wanting the fat macro to be the highest percentage. Mine is about 60/25/15 carbs/fats/protein, the few times I measured it. I'm more of an endurance athlete vs. the bodybuilding type. I find protein slows me down during exercise, so I eat the bulk of it at the end of the day.

edit: In actuality, the goal is 0 carbs, and roughly a 1/1 ratio of fat/protein in grams (since 9cals/gram in fat and 4cals/gram in protein).

Yessir. I'm actually trying to cut down on my BF right now and I'm making steady losses. So far so good. Messed with me when I first tried it and the hardest part is literally getting enough fat in my daily macros. It's nice though when I can cook everything in butter and coconut oil and eat tons of cheese. I also do intermittent fasting every once in a while. Makes planning meals easy.

The easiest part though is bacon. :p
