I don't buy it. Anytime I buy shit from FCP, it takes them a damn week to ship it.

Anyone know where to get an aluminum compressor housing polished?
Somewhere that knows turbos and won't polish the inside ruining the clearances.

Preferably up in canuck land but could ship if a shop is worth it.

Yea, supposedly its already packed up in Arizona but will take a week to arrive... doesnt make sense, but if it arrives before the end of the week, fine.

Ever since they opened up in AZ, I've gotten stuff from FCP in 1-2 days, even with the free shipping option.
But ECS takes over a week. Whatever, I just go with who's cheaper on the part I need.
I keep forgetting about Pelican even though they're super local.

Get some sandpaper and polishing wheels and DIY? What I'd do is call local turbo shops and ask if you can send them one for polishing, many shops offer polished housings as an option these days and aside from turbonetics I don't think they come from the factory that way so they must be doing it themselves. I know one of my "local" turbo suppliers used to post videos on instagram of their in-house polishing guy doing his work.

Do any of you have experience with the 6mt (GS6-45BZ) in an f30 335i? My 2nd gear syncro is crunchy, so 1-2 and 3-2 shifts grind. I changed the fluid to Redline MTL and it's a little better, but still needs to be babied to avoid grinding.

I've ready that there isn't a fix or a rebuild kit, the only solution is to replace the whole unit. I assume any replacement unit will eventually grind as well. It looks like Bristol Transmissions used to sell a rebuild kit, but stopped due to manufacturing issues. Someone on FB marketplace is selling one of the kits for $1k.

I've read about swapping in a GS6-53BZ from an e9x 335i. It's a stronger box, but you lose electronics for hill start and whatnot. I'm fine with some bolt-ons and a tune for this car, but I don't want to mess with it too much because its a reliable DD.

Are there any other options for fixing the stock box?
