Sure. It will still be slow! But not the silly 9.9 0-60 stock slow. I am already planning for stage 2 or 3.

      Get that SS exhaust!

Do they make schricks for the m44? A schricked, full exhaust, and boosted ti could be super fun.

They make everything for M44's. Ideally it will just blow up so I can make it a 2.1 L

Pffff. If I really wanted to I would have swapped a S50/52 to start with. Supercharged hot hatches are way cooler.

well then. Lower compression, up the boost, cam the living bejeezus out of it, and put on some wide sticky tires.

That'd be an insanely fun DD

We will see what happens. She still has to DD it in the winter so I can't go too crazy unless she is able to drive it just fine. I still need to lower it and add LTW's, etc. Slow progress.

Projects always are. I'm gearing up to do some long overdue maintenance on the M and Scoob, which, while necessary, is really pushing back my plans for M car project mods and fun.

This would be a nice 4cyl swap when they are available and the price comes down...

Interesting article, that motor sounds like it'll be pretty neat. Hopefully it won't sound like an Evo or Neon though.

BMW's marketing boffins sure can come up with a billion really stupid names.

That was actually just a POS M50. No need to fret guys.

I've let a few friends drive my M Coupe. Everyone gets a firm lecture on proper shifting technique.
Precisely. My dad shifts with the fist of Stalin. Which is why he's never driven my car.

                        I shift delicately and quickly.

Shricks + SS headers + DASC. We can make this happen. ;)

Eh, if you're going to swap a Ti and you don't already have a motor, S54 that shit.

Agreed. Although that one dude down south has a really sweet S5X swapped Ti rally car.

LTWs, or contours. Both are great wheels. Either way, make sure you go with a square 8.5 setup. ;)

Seems neat, will likely fail though.

Don't say that. The e30 REALLY wants cams.

It will be LTWs. They are the wheels she wants so I can't complain about that. :)
