@ cloudbase: NICE!!! How come I can't find any roads like that in the entire state of CO??? I oozed home at LITERALLY 3mph on 119, it was utterly ridiculous. It took me FIFTEEN freaking minutes to get down 119 from Colorado (that goes through CU) to under the bridge where 119 takes a right turn. Miserable CO drivers!! Miserable!!

EDIT: got confused and put this response here
Lemons car:
It was raced last year and got DQ'd due to a leaky PS rack. Currently we just took PS out.
-Full cage
-sparco race seat
-all the necessary fuel/battery cut-off switches, etc
Pretty much our team needs to get back into communication to make sure everyone is still interested. We just need to make sure it can get entered and all that junk. I have lots more pictures I can post when I am not at work.
I will send an email out to see who of my friends is still interested. If it falls though or w/e then we can take the car over. Either way we NEED more people. I think we need 6 racers minimum.

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.Comment

+1 also, definitely interested.
I think the reason why the drivers around here were driving like retards is that Boulder county doesn't salt the roads or use enough sand. That, and the snow was piled on top of a sheet of ice through most of boulder.
And yea, CO drivers should know better. I think they're trying to emulate Georgians.Comment

Yesterday was epic fail.
1. Driving WAY too slow causes ice build up
2. Stopping on hills is just stupid
3. BUY SNOW TIRES!
4. Everyone was stuck in the streets so no plow/sand truck could get though
Pretty much everything that could go wrong did. I am still mad it took 3 hours. I need to find a super back road way from north boulder.

Where in north boulder?
I'll admit, I didn't have snow tires on yesterday (I do now though), but good god people can't drive. Everyone decided to drive in the iced-up ruts rather than move 6 inches to the left or right and drive on the snow. Much better traction there.
At Linden/Broadway (bottom of a hill) there were three separate accidents. All caused by one retard stopping, sliding backwards into the person behind them. Such a clusterfuck.
It took me nearly 40 minutes to drive what normally takes 12. Not nearly as bad as Brad's commute, but still....fucking no-talent assclown drivers.Comment

agreed (w/ brad), It took me half an hour to go about two miles.
and it only takes about two ass-clowns to ooze along at painfully slow speeds to clog up an entire town, which is stupid.

My technique from is to use my iPhone to navigate through neighborhoods as much as possible. Usually they are unplowed / tracked and usually not as icy. Remember Folsom is the best road in Boulder. You can parallel it via neighborhoods in No Bo. I usually break off before Valmont in the snow. If you have to go south there is usually no opposite commute from Longmont directly south so I head east to 96th or even 287 using lesser traveled roads like Jay or Valmont. Arapahoe and S Boulder are worse. From 96 you can connect to Dillon and cut through Flat Irons Mall area to Indiana. Indiana or Simms are both sketchy because they do have a few hills, but better than 93. From there you can work you way through neighborhoods again.
If you don't feel like going all the way east Cherryvail to Marshal and even that dirt road are good options.
Fuck Broadway and 93 they are the worst!JOY IS AN E30...

For 24 Hours of Lemons, you can for sure count me in. Just let me know what the buy in is and how much. The timeframe in early July works for me. If we need a work space we can use my garage and I'm stoked to help out with the car prep as much as possible.
I've got Helmet and shoes and could pick up the other required clothing, am an okay mechanic, and have about 10 hours total of collective track time in the M Coupe.JOY IS AN E30...
