Not sure I follow. I was on folsom for half an hour yesterday, I'd disagree with it being the best road....unless you mean the best road to follow along through neighborhoods.

Lemons car:
It was raced last year and got DQ'd due to a leaky PS rack. Currently we just took PS out.
-Full cage
-sparco race seat
-all the necessary fuel/battery cut-off switches, etc
Pretty much our team needs to get back into communication to make sure everyone is still interested. We just need to make sure it can get entered and all that junk. I have lots more pictures I can post when I am not at work.
I will send an email out to see who of my friends is still interested. If it falls though or w/e then we can take the car over. Either way we NEED more people. I think we need 6 racers minimum.
I am a pretty good mechanic (my swap works! lol) i can also do metal work, brake work, suspension, electrical, well pretty much anything...

what about the stupid penalties/ e30 hatred in the lemons series?
I think there is a chump car at pueblo or PPIR over the summer.. same idea just without the haters
EDIT: oh yeah I forgot its a 24 hour race... could still be fun :D318iS Track Rat :nice: www.drive4corners.com

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

i think we keep the e30 chassis and then do a 'lepu' from chop shop and we can weld up some new body panels and make it something different....
Also we should turn the exhaust header upside down and run the exhaust straight out the hood.
maybe we should also chop the top and make a wide body kit for it.
I'm a designer, so i'm full of ideas....Last edited by monkeytaco; 01-20-2011, 11:26 AM.

Cause a $500 E30 is far more competitive out of the box than a $500 Lincoln Town Car, and the organizers of the races like to crush (literally, they use a front end loader) the fast cars that are actually decently quick and competitive.
Or they'll weld goofy shit on the car body.
Lemons isn't so much cheap racing as a demolition derby. Chump car is far more about the racing than the spectacle.

I'm not sure if Lemons and Chump Car have the same safety/car rules, so it might be an expensive proposition to bring a lemons car up to chump car spec. I have nothing to back that up though, just a hunch.
I was always under the assumption that chump car is a bit more expensive and serious while lemons is all about fun. I would MUCH prefer to do lemons be it in the E30 or any other car.

I think the reason why the drivers around here were driving like retards is that Boulder county doesn't salt the roads or use enough sand. That, and the snow was piled on top of a sheet of ice through most of boulder.
And yea, CO drivers should know better. I think they're trying to emulate Georgians.
I would be in for pit crewing on the lemons team if you need help. I can also weld if need be.

The state of Georgia shut down for a week due to four inches of snow, the insurance companies cancelled coverage on anyone who was in an accident during that week, and people were doing 90mph in snow/ice, having accidents, and then wondering wtf happened.
I fully stand behind that statement.
