So drove around with the new wideband and it was working perfect, until i went to a drive thru that took around 15 min of idling. The wide band started to gradually read leaner and leaner; It eventually went all the way to 22.4 and stayed there , however my car never even had a hiccup so I knew it was just the gauge. I pulled into the parking lot to check it over and all wiring and it was fine. I decided to drive it home and after around 6 miles of driving it started to read richer and richer and by the time I got home it was back to normal.

Anyone know what would cause this? At first I thought maybe it got wet with fuel but I idle at 13.5afr and that shouldn't be possible, plus it taking 6 miles to read correct confuses me.

I recalibrated it be sure but I haven't been able to replicate the issue.

Get a better wb, never heard a professional tuner say much good about innovate that's enough for me to steer clear

Ive never been impressed with their reliability either. i had my AEM in a daily driver for 4 years with issues.

Mine did that when I fouled it with oil fumes.
Replaced it, along with an engine rebuild, and back to normal.

I use an lc-1 as a stand alone with cigar lighter power connection. Had the same one since 2008 or so. I have replaced the sensor about 4x in that time frame and it still works flawlessly. Last year the black box got crushed when hitting a tire in the road during a tuning session in a lowered car, didn't bother it. It's been in hundreds of cars.

That's good to hear, the mtxl only last 2 years max. I believe this is my 3rd one. First one I belive died because my motor mount broke during autox and it got crunched on the frame rail. Second one died completely for no reason.

However this 3rd is a completely different design. The large connector for the sensor is about 25% smaller and shaped different as well. I mounted everything in cabin besides sensor (obviously) so I'm hoping it will live longer since no wires/connectors are in the engine bay.

Don't get your hopes up, there's enough flaky LC-1 stories out there. I had one, it only lasted me two years before it crapped out. I had an AEM unit on my boosted E30 and never had any issues with it, then replaced the LC-1 on my n/a car with the AEM and haven't had any issues with it for the 3 years I've been running it.

How long ago? I had one prior to the current that kept losing connection, wouldn't load firmware etc, sent it back and they repaired it, and totally forgot about it sitting in my Firebird when I bought the one I m using now. Apparently they did have a batch of bad ones, and of course the good old internet spread the word. I have had good luck with them and use them in customer cars, haven't had one come back.

I use the Ballenger Motorsport afr500 which is same as ngk afx which is nla but replaced by a lesser product, so Ballenger got these made same as the old version by the same mob just with different label. People recommended to go with ntk sensor rather than Bosch lsu

I've been using an LC-1 and LC-2 for the better part of 10 years. The only thing that ever happened in that time was a worn out sensor.

are you planning on releasing a setup with a pt5862? wouldn't that bring the power on a lot sooner then a pt6262? Peak potential would be less but it should have better drivability. please correct me if i am wrong.
