No sold those, these new wheels are a bit wider but still not as wide as I'd like. Apex was sold out of the arc wheels I wanted so I just got some cheaper wheels for now. They should be here by the weekend

So chasing a couple of strange issue, now that I have what I consider a lot of grip, I fear the clutch is slipping, if I do a complete 3rd gear pull from 2500-7k the car will get to full boost very fast by about 3800rpms however the car does not start accelerating quickly until I reach around 4800-5000rpms. I thought maybe it was lag but it's clearly at full boost, but power is being lost somewhere.


To test I did a brake boost pull. I built 15psi at around 3500 around a 40mph roll. Normally doing this launches away like a jet, however when I left off the brake the car just kind of made a strong chatter and vibration(similar to a bad guibo) and once I reached closer to 5k then it just flew away, but I had full boost for close to 2k rpms and the car didn't pull hard. AFR is spot on, boost is fast and reaching target.

The rpms are not climbing like a slipping clutch so I'm pretty stumped. If I ease into boost the car is faster. If I run threw the gears power is fine, it's only lugging into a gear that is resulting in a full boost lack of power situation and into and only happens in gears 3-5. Second gear has power as soon as boost hits.

Summary-going all out isn't making power like easing into boost at part throttle does. Possibly slipping clutch from how hard boost hits. Also throttle leaks...

Are you still running a single plate clutch? I wounder of a double plate might fix the slipping issue....

Don't tell me this - I was very soon going to get the same clutch :^(
I have that same chatter problem too when I'm full boost in 4th - feels/sounds like a bad driveshaft (mine is new). I thought it was the clutch not holding up as well considering mine slips in hard 3rd/4th pulls but never in 2nd.

, it's the only thing I can think of. I'm thinking the chatter/vibration is the clutch repeatedly just barely slipping in till it catches at higher rpm. Not enough to have rpms shoot up a bunch but enough to notice power not going to the wheels.

It bothered me enough to finally tend and poly' bush:
Subframe bushings
TA bushings
Diff bushing
RSM's
Axles
Driveshaft / flex disc / CSB

It is still there, so last thing to replace is the slipping clutch. I'm just conflicted what to get considering I don't really want a chattery clutch anymore.

I haven't gotten my spec stage 3+ to slip yet, but it feels like poo poo to drive, very knife edge feel.

So likely doing a part out of the E30. My father passed away last week and Now I've got to take care of my 2 younger brothers and help pay mortgage and medical bills for my mother.


I'm doing a partout because I dont want to sell the entire car and I'd rather just sell the parts that are worth $$$.


So full turbo kit will be for sale, only have like 6k miles on it. I have an M30 5 speed and and M20 5 speed for sale as well. PM me if you interested in the entire turbo kit, it makes 400whp very easy.
