It was put on hold while I was getting my business off the ground. Been spending the last 2 years mostly riding motorcycles and getting things in order.
This month we’re going to get it running, I hope.
I also purchased a 1986 Vixen 21TD that was unfortunately most of my funds for a toy.
This coming spring the E30 will be ready, and after we get it running this fall it’s going into storage for the winter while I’m visiting family and friends (and back out the Bay Area) with the Vixen.
For those that don’t know, the Vixen is the BMW M21 powered 5 speed Mini-Class A RV.

No way! I love Vixens. I don't have much of a reason to own one, but I truly want one some day. The "driver's" RV and all. Spotted one recently on a little vacation and it re-ignited the completely unnecessary want for one again.Comment

Huge update.
It runs. It will be dyno tuned in January / February to break in a new dyno that’s being set up at the shop now. Tuner is flying in from Dubai. Will be tuned on E85.

YES!
A lot of flying for an ECUMASTER tune?Comment

He’s flying in to set up the dyno for the shop. He tunes remotely for them, but they need a dyno for the cars. Just so happens that it’s convenient for my car to be the first one, so they’re doing it while he’s here with the goal to be to squeeze as much out as we can.1986 325e Maaco Black M62 Project [SOLD]

while I was there we revved it up, and it screams. It sounds incredible. Can’t wait for next month when I’m there again with it in the dyno. Going to try to get some videos of it throughout the process.
still have some sensors we have to get wired and reporting before we rip it too much.1986 325e Maaco Black M62 Project [SOLD]

Set for Dyno this Friday.
So much waiting, and finally about to be ready.
After Dyno, all that is left for the car is adjusting the Bosch iBooster to play nicely with the brakes, and it should be ready for the road in May once the salt is off the roads, perfectly timed.1986 325e Maaco Black M62 Project [SOLD]
