The M635 gets to be the pretty car, and I drive it when I want to, but the E30 is what I pick up the keys for first. That's been pretty fun, though I've only had the car 9 months so far.

Short of a personal financial crisis, I can't see being without either of my old BMW's, at least until I'm too old to enjoy them. But I've been gooning at BMW's since the early 80's. And while I'm not suggesting they're smart money, they're both holding or increasing in value. The Shark is worth more than twice what I paid for it. The E30 is probably going to remain steady vs. appreciate. It it does lose value, it won't lose it too much or too fast. That's pretty fun.
Fiance's car was totaled due to hail in September when she was at a doc appt. Didn't even rain at our house where it would have been in the garage. And the sun will bake interiors.

Likely not considered a legend however in the last 14 years it sure has been a ride. Met a lot of great people along the way (most are still here sprinkling a post or two) and learned a lot about cars. Hope everyone is doing well.

Talking of legends. What happened with e30Tech forum and Yoshi?
And what was that forum everyone was in before R3V? Like around 2003-2004.

It was dying slowly and eventually went away. Not sure what happened to Yoshi, perhaps he moved on? It happens. Are you talking about BEN (BMW E30 Network) or E30Sport? These were both before 2002 or so.

I remember using a guide on BEN in 2004 to replace the rear shocks and mounts on my first 325es.
