All sorts of people. In the last three months or so, I've had some kid on a bike while at a gas station take a photo of it, some mom in an SUV told me she loved it, a guy in a 335i (or something) complimented it, and most recently while in traffic two little kids in their front yard started pointing at it excitedly, which I assume meant they liked it. So really the whole spectrum of people. I've never gotten this much attention in it. Seems like tastes have shifted in favor of the E30. -
BMW seems to have sent the blind design head off to destroy Rolls Royce now.
Good riddance, but some of the people coming in sound like scrubs also... the guy who butchered the Volvo SPA design language to make the polestar electric cars, someone who designed the recent Mini abominations, and two others that sound alright.

You wouldn't pay $112K for this beauty? LOL!!! Utterly horribleI hope they have been tanking, have you seen what they've been producing? A bunch of enormous ugly crap. Like, stunningly ugly. It's hard to believe the same company that made the E24 makes the stuff I see on the roads and at car shows now. I ultimately have no idea if their ugly cars are causing poor sales or even if their profits are truly "not good" but I can only hope their ugly cars are biting them in the ass so they'll change direction.

If you mean attention from people on the street, then yes, same here in the Philly area. I have been getting more thumbs up from people, but especially more people in modern BMW's rolling down the window at stop lights to make a comment about my ride. It's been fun!BMW and Lexus seem to be in competition to see who can make the ugliest vehicles. I don't know what's going on in their design departments, but its bad.
Also, anyone notice E30s getting more attention lately? Seems like my E30 is getting way more attention this year than it has previously.Leave a comment:

You know what came out of the lean times of the 70s and early 80s? The E30.
Maybe, just maybe, manufacturers will be forced to produce quality affordable vehicles when faced with this competitive global market and perhaps declining disposable income.
But who am I kidding, they'll probably just make more bloated cut rate crap and market it as premium so people can feel validated that they're more successful that the person next to them in traffic.Leave a comment:

ZF also plans to lay off 14,000 workers in Germany.
ZF owns Girling, Sachs, etc.
Then, it'll be Bosch.
Hopefully, they will make cheaper spare parts somewhere in Thailand or Vietnam.Leave a comment:

I was supposed to receive a very important delivery today and found out it's still a thousand miles away. Yes, I bought another car from another part of the country, but this is a much nicer one than my E34 so it's stressing me the hell out to not be able to track it. Unfortunately I didn't think to send one of my airtags to the seller to put in the car until it was too late to get one there before the car carrier picked it up. So, protip for those of you who buy cars and get them shipped to you, as soon as you buy it ship an airtag for the seller to put in the car.

Utterly dragging their heels to get the new microbus into showrooms! They've been sitting on a gold mine while waiting to launch the ID Buzz. TBH, they should have launched that on the day they stopped making the EuroVan, and they should have made a gas version of it. Chalk it up to mismanagement maybe?Leave a comment:

Will BMW be next? BMW's profits are not good this year.
