I've been dailying the vert for a few months now. So much fun. Not fun to drive as its an auto convertible, but its just pleasant going about the mundane tasks of life then walking out to see it in a carpark. Roof down on a nice day home from work is a treat.
I suppose I've never actually had a really nice daily, but I've found that I don't miss any of the fancy things like electric seats or a good stereo nearly enough to buy something else.

Not really. Few track days. 10,000+ miles like this.

I'm surprised it doesn't rub a lot. I had significant rubbing on the inside the wheel well at full steering deflection with 225/50R16 on 16x8 ET20 which should be have a bit more clearance to the fender and significantly more clearance on the inside.

Running Z3M rear trailing arms with rear coilovers. The extra track of the arms gave me space for the coilover. Up front are DTM arms where I gained similar track width. The track width is wider than most E36s that roll thru the shop...

It's been a while, but you're running E36 front suspension too, right? Some major caster adjustment up top?

I have 225/50R16 R888R and 15x8 ET25 up front now. I need a small spacer to clear the e30 strut. I imagine a x9 ET30 with 18mm less clearance and a fatter tire wouldn't even bolt on if this had e30 struts...

                      Love how it looks.

I doubled down on 16s and got my Alpina reps because honestly my E30 is firm enough without losing more sidewall because it has UHMW bushings and coilovers. I'll cross the tire availability bridge when I come to it, which is going to be a while from now because I have 3 cars and my E30 gets the fewest miles put on it.

Ah I either did not realize or forgot the level of suspension mods you have.

                                Kinda where I’m at.

if I got 17s I’m gonna be replacing wheels and tires out here……

I kinda wanna suck it up and get what I can now since it’s almost about time.

hoping if I get another set by the time they wear out maybe they’ll be a resurgence in options.

but also thinking out loud rn

even if I move to a 200 tw, I probably drive the e30 1k miles a year so- whatever.

something about 17s look good some days and other days not at all.

just popping onto tire rack and saw some new names for a 225/45/16 (Chinese)

so I’m optimistic. Wish Firestone would make the indies in that size. Such good tire.
