:) I think we all suffer from the same infectious thirst for knowlege and need to know WHY something works, compared to something that doesnt.

Its true the Roland manifold enters the head at a straight angle where the port has a roof that sits about 30 degrees so that is one place where things are FAR from ideal. If a Jenvy can make similar power i would be all eyes and ears, because the only fundamental difference to extrudabody that i can see is the injector placement?? and thats something im itching to play with!! Personally i think its a tall order to think simple injector placement will make up for such a large lack of runner velocity but one thing i have found is not to take ANYTHING for granted

I will offer the same deal to anyone who is willing to do a back to back, i will fully refund the used kit and even pay for return postage if someone wants to try my kit on an engine already fitted with a Jenvy kit :)

Not so much to sell a kit but to get an insight on WHAT difference having the injectors further from the valve actually makes

i would think something like an engine fitted with vanos could bandaid a bigger volume intake runner size in midrange and actually use it at the topend to benefit, sadly this doesnt help the m20

around the 3-4000rpm i got the same torque with dbilas manifold (with custom skinny runners that were still a little too short) and RHD. apparently the dbilas is the worst of all as far as manifolds goes

After installing the Rowland manifolds and Extrudabody ITB's on another customer car and had to do a booster delete. This client and I have decided to go ahead and purchase the RHD kit, so you have an email, Rama. :)

The head is finished. There was some slight corrosion in one of the coolant passages, so that was welded prior to milling. The head got refreshed with new guides and all, and we went with the +1mm intake and exhaust - flow numbers will be posted soon. Really hoping the kit will get here in enough time to flow test them on the head as a unit - the car is supposed to be on the track mid-September, really would like to meet our deadline.

This could almost happen here on this car, but don't think we will have time before the deadline since we only have 45mm Jenvey stuff here and would be a while before we could get a set, but might just throw the 45's on your manifold to see what happens.

            would be good to see

            1) headflow with bare head vs
            2) with RHD manifold, TB, trumpet etc vs
            3) OEM cast manifold and TB etc.

even just on a stock head

I already have all the flow data from this thread, which included stock manifold on a stock head...

Just need to stack the RHD stuff on the head, maybe even mix things up with Extrudabody, Rowland and perhaps even Jenvey. It all depends on how quickly Rama can get the kit overseas. For a short time we will have all three kits here at once.

someone should do a sticky with all the flow data scattered amongst the dozens of threads, no real discussions just data and details of what was done. i bet there is a fair bit of info when its compiled together

ForcedFirebird, what's the deal with those suckers? Are you staying stock ECU? Or is that even possible?

And of course my question is...what would this bolt on assembly do for a low mileage stock m20 with a fresh head (including guides), stock cam, 19lb injectors and an SSSquid tune and how much difference would adding a 272 make ?

...oh...and if you want a test subject I'm only a days drive away :)

It's a track only car, they will be run open. The car only does 20min sessions.

Will let you know what they do with a 272, ported head, 272 cam and headers/exhaust.

They were tested previously on a bone stock m20 which made a baseline of 150whp, adding the ITB's made 174. 24whp increase on a tired m20 is significant, 16% increase from a bolt on...
