When I first saw it, I was like cool! after reading the ad, I see it isn’t a turbo engine. Then after reading a little more, I see it doesn’t have a/c. Still, after reading more, I see it’s a sedan with vanilla vinyl interior......you see where i’m going with this?

The ad says it’s been for sale a month. Perhaps it’s time to lower the price a bit.

Maybe his pool of buyers see it the way I do.

    I do like it though.

If you want a diesel this one looks nice. Needs to have the aftermarket radio removed and an original one put back in. No AC would probably be OK in Vermont and the rest of the northern states but not anywhere down south.

      Love all those Euro bits...

      - Manual windows.
      - Center console with cup holders.
      - Euro clock.
      - Euro metal bumpers.

I may "need" to go and look at this car if it is still available.

assuming no rust, this one seems like a better choice.

Solid car. Seems the brakes (fronts) are silly pricey and no way to get around it. Rust all over is common and especially concerning are rust at the front spring perches.

I like that one. Just too rich for me. I loved my W126, genuine ruggedness in many details.

Even these 90s/2000s AMGs were built so well IMHO.

With diesel E30s I think it's best to say, no turbo, no care.

But I suppose the turbo stuff could be added fairly easily.

Beware... It sold on Bring a Trailer not too long ago for more than the asking price

That makes it even more interesting. I wonder why such a quick turnover? The car looks too clean to be anything sinister but, you never know. Maybe it was the 84 HP, no PS or AC that the new owner couldn't live with. I Emailed about looking at the car and haven't heard anything back. I'm only 3 hours from the seller's listed location and would make for a quick ride up the highway in the Cayman. This would be a Euro diesel twin to my 86 325e.

Another question. I read that the diesels only came in sedans and Real OEM only shows the 324d and 324td in sedan. Why the coupe on this one?

This thing looks really clean to me, but maybe it's fool's gold. It present well, and the price is reasonable.

Good point, assume this one is a swap, also an interesting thing to learn. FYI only turbo diesels in tourings AFAIK, which says a lot about the N/A M21 when they put the M40B16 in them as well.

not even close. 260k miles. wrong door panels. probably not even the correct seats.

35k invested? way to toss your money down the drain.

looks like a 6k+ car to me.

Agreed, not sure why you would throw $35k at a salvage title car. That and he was over charged like hell!! I havent even put that much into my car yet and I have some expensive parts.
