An LSD is a must on these cars IMO

so many reasons to have it.

When driving hard, especially on a tight corner, the inner wheel just loses traction and the car will just roll thru the corner.

    I cant stand that shit

if you don't drive the car hard or "hoon" it i wouldn't worry about it.

I'm kind of excited to get some 14 inch tires and throw on the bottlecaps. Want to see how it handles with them. However, I'm done spending any more money until I finish installing the rest of my parts I have laying around. Thinking of biting the bullet and dropping the rear subframe in the next few weeks for the bushings, brake lines, and LSD install. Don't feel like waiting until winter, and I really want to see how the suspension feels in it's final form. I just don't have any tiiiiimmmeee.

There is the NCM Motorsports Park also to check out while in bowling green. Some weekends you can rent C8's and drive the track.

I usually always try and get lunch at Kentucky Native Café when passing thru Lexington KY

Deluxe, thanks. Can't beat local expertise.
Looking for a good tourist gun range too, any thoughts?

    Second that recommendation.
Had so much fun there on my motorcycle a few years ago.

I'm in Philly, hit me up if you decide to come through. The Delaware Water Gap is a scenic spot, but I wouldn't go out of your way for it if you're able to hit other good spots.

Depending on how long you're spending in Bar Harbor, I've hiked and driven pretty much the entirety of Arcadia national park, and the whole park is a nice drive and worth seeing. I'd recommend Beech Mountain Trail which takes you up to a rocky peak with a fire watch tower, Great Head trail which goes through some woods then out on the coastline, and little Hunters beach which is all rocks and clatters in the waves. The granite museum on mount desert island is neat if old mining equipment and rocks are your thing. Out near tail of the dragon, Cherohala skyway is a nice drive and Smoky mountains national park in general has some good spots but I've heard the ticks are getting bad in the south in general so take precautions if you're going to do some hiking in these hot months.

Coming back to the states for an east side adventure. Landing in 24th June, fly out 14th July.
Any suggests for cool car things or good nature spots? This is just a very rough route, but it'll probably follow somewhat like this.
If anyone here is on the way and wants a beer, sing out

You're problem most likely lies in the B8 & not in the aspect ratio. As far as it seems B8's are best paired with something that is stiffer than H&R race spring, or.. close to..

This year I've been added to a group of weirdos who drive across the country and compete in the Gridlife series. We have 2 of our own racecars, a Hyundai Veloster and Elantra, but a couple others pit with us, a V8 E36 and a Z28 Camaro. It's been an amazing time, fixing shit, sort of winning, mostly not, but definitely no dull moment, even when traveling. We live in California but 5 of the 6 events are on the East coast/Midwest, so there's a lot of flying/towing going on.
This past weekend at Atlanta, one of the drivers money shifted, into 2 instead of 4. It was the last lap, he was in a good spot (not top 3 but he wasn't fighting for position) so over the radio, the team manager said "you got this, take it easy" so the driver relaxed and just missed the gear. Luckily! We had brought a spare engine, so overnight in our pit, we swapped out the little 4-banger, even without a cherry picker. Made the next race :)
OOF! Anymore Gridlife events this way? Or any local guys running east coast events passing thru?

Motor swaps at the track suck! Luckily it didn't come out of someone's elses car.

    Kinda where I’m at.

if I got 17s I’m gonna be replacing wheels and tires out here……

I kinda wanna suck it up and get what I can now since it’s almost about time.

hoping if I get another set by the time they wear out maybe they’ll be a resurgence in options.

but also thinking out loud rn

even if I move to a 200 tw, I probably drive the e30 1k miles a year so- whatever.

something about 17s look good some days and other days not at all.

just popping onto tire rack and saw some new names for a 225/45/16 (Chinese)

so I’m optimistic. Wish Firestone would make the indies in that size. Such good tire.

I doubled down on 16s and got my Alpina reps because honestly my E30 is firm enough without losing more sidewall because it has UHMW bushings and coilovers. I'll cross the tire availability bridge when I come to it, which is going to be a while from now because I have 3 cars and my E30 gets the fewest miles put on it.

Ah I either did not realize or forgot the level of suspension mods you have.
