^ That is an excellent idea! I would have to remove the factory hood insulation no matter which way I went. I need to inspect the hood and see if that modification could be done.

Some exhaust work in progress converting to a full 3 inch set up. Ignore the disgusting undercarriage.

      I hate building exhaust.

Version 2 exhaust is close to completion.

Extravagant dump pipe V banded so I can remove the complete center section of the system for service without the need to remove the wastegate. Cool. 3 inch stainless to dual 2 inch collector mated to Super Sprint 304 Muffler. Vibrant bottle style 18" resonator to keep any drone away.

I agree. This thread has derailed horribly.

            Current state of fckery.

Small tasks to do such as routing vacuum lines. installing IC piping and oil lines. Time to crank the engine and check for oil pressure soon.

Spy my meth port. I will try a single nozzle and see how that favors. If things dont work out I can move to a port injection system later. The charge pipe from compressor housing to intercooler does not fit quite right after switching the turbo and manifold. I will have to fabricate a new one with a different bend.

Getting closer to first start up.

Here is a couple pics showing how little room we are working with on the hot side. This sht is getting ridiculous. No wonder its taken me to two years to construct this mess.

Maybe I will make all the piping one color with the correct insulation. Maybe I wont. Maybe who cares. Maybe suck my balls.

Yeah that hot side is crowded no matter what you do. It has been a battle for me since day one. I'm probably going to have to revise my AC lines somehow to get them to hug the firewall better and mount the service ports higher, like where the fittings are now. At least it isn't like the E39 though, where the ABS unit is mounted where a turbo belongs.

Yea. Id say the only thing I havent had to touch is the AC lines.

Ive been thinking. What engine oil are you using in your E34?

I've used Mobil1 (15w50?) and Delvac 15w40 (mostly this) in it. Delvac is cheap and meets the required standards, which is important when the damn thing won't stop leaking or burning oil. For break in I used whatever the metric mechanic engine break in instructions pdf recommended.
