They're worn but still useable, However I'm planning to run a 80a bushing kit from garagistic since it'll just replace everything without thinking too much. I'm still throwing in a LSD for fun!Leave a comment:

I know exactly what you're talking about, She acts like she is going to lose control even when I am driving her hard so It's why I'm currently on the hunt for a messed up 325es or 325is for that limited slip and everything else. I'm putting better tires and upgrading to a good set of springs and shocks but without that LSD and a rear sway bar, She will continue to barrelroll through corners and make me feel like i am driving a boat.
An LSD is a must on these cars IMO
so many reasons to have it.
When driving hard, especially on a tight corner, the inner wheel just loses traction and the car will just roll thru the corner.
I cant stand that shit
if you don't drive the car hard or "hoon" it i wouldn't worry about it.Leave a comment:

Sounds like an evap system issue. I'd check the canister and lines to and from it. My E30 is missing its canister and just has an open vent hard line. It has never smelled like gas under the hood.Leave a comment:

No clue. This would have been done in 2018, so 8 years ago. I probably used something from o'reily's. E30 lines are 8mm (0.315 in) ID, which is an odd size. Maybe I'll just swap out the lines, it's not too hard and they're pretty old at this point.
I never did replace the line to the charcoal cannister, so maybe that's just cracked and causing issues on hot days?Leave a comment:

What kind of fuel lines do you have? With the current crop of crap chinese lines Im paranoid about my own, though I dont think the proper fuel line I just bought for my Elan will work on the E30. Seems like the E30s are a smaller size.Leave a comment:

I've had a raw fuel smell from my engine bay on/off for some time. Some days i don't smell anything, other days it's really strong. This happened before and after replacing the head in the car. Injector rail was left in the intake the whole time. I replaced the fuel lines from the firewall to the rail about 7 years ago. I jumped the fuel pump the other day to pressurize the rail, left it for 30 minutes, no fuel smell. It seems to only happen when the engine is hot, too hot to comfortably poke around. I've never seen leaks from the soft lines to the fuel rail or from the top/bottom of the injectors.
It's really annoying. What could this be coming from?Leave a comment:

15 Inch wheels and decent street tires made a night and day difference for my 318i and that sucker has stock suspension with DRUMS, 14 Inch made it so that it was even more prone to bodyroll when it corners left or right so it's a noticable upgrade. I have yet to actually upgrade any suspension or brake components because a 325es or 325i needs to donate 90% of it's components for my car, BTW How does a LSD feel?

I am pushing the car hard around corners, and it is very stable. The B8s, OE sport springs, and Advan Flavas are keeping it planted.
I'm kind of excited to get some 14 inch tires and throw on the bottlecaps. Want to see how it handles with them. However, I'm done spending any more money until I finish installing the rest of my parts I have laying around. Thinking of biting the bullet and dropping the rear subframe in the next few weeks for the bushings, brake lines, and LSD install. Don't feel like waiting until winter, and I really want to see how the suspension feels in it's final form. I just don't have any tiiiiimmmeee.Leave a comment:

Deluxe, thanks. Can't beat local expertise.I'm in Louisville, KY
Check out:
Red River Gorge, KY
Cherohala skyway, TN
Blue Ridge Mountains
Shenandoah National Park
George Washington national forest
There is the NCM Motorsports Park also to check out while in bowling green. Some weekends you can rent C8's and drive the track.
I usually always try and get lunch at Kentucky Native Café when passing thru Lexington KY

I'm in Philly, hit me up if you decide to come through. The Delaware Water Gap is a scenic spot, but I wouldn't go out of your way for it if you're able to hit other good spots.Leave a comment:
