That's what I was seeing when researching, but I dont have the purge valve in the e30 location or in the e36 location, m52 obd1 swapped car.
I didnt have the issue till it went to the mechanic to fix another issue.

how do you have it setup now?

if it's constantly venting vapor to the intake, you're gonna get hard starts

thats a pretty good deal if the higher miles dont bother you. Safe to say that at this point the IMS isnt an issue either haha

                              its all gravy

SO if you want to vent your fuel vapors back to the intake, (who gives a fuck) you're going to need a functioning purge valve.

if you dont give a shit about that, just cap off the intake manifold where the hose would typically go and do the same at the tank.

Like I said earlier tho, your purge valve system will only cause a hard start if its stuck open or just straight lined to the tank with no valve.

Also, the colder it is the harder it is to get it to start. The guy did a m50 intake swap on it as well. But that was done 8 months ago. Got it back and it started fine, no CEL. Took it back as it still had issues staying running. He found that issue, it's fixed but now the purge valve issue. He's supposed to come up next weekend and take a look at it.
